Medical examination for your driving licence
For a 75+ driving licence renewal, a commercial driving licence or certain CBR referrals, you can book an appointment in Almere.
Arrange this before booking
First complete your Health Statement through Mijn CBR. If a medical examination is required, CBR will send you a referral letter. Check whether you have been referred to an examining doctor or a medical specialist. Each referral has its own ZD code.
What to bring
Bring a valid identity document and your complete CBR referral letter with all ZD codes, either printed or on your phone. If you use glasses or contact lenses while driving, bring them. Also bring a current medication overview and any additional documents requested by CBR.
During and after the examination
The doctor discusses the relevant health information and performs the examination required for the medical report. The report is submitted digitally to CBR. CBR assesses your fitness to drive and makes the final decision; the examining doctor does not decide whether your licence is issued or renewed.
Appointment and payment
The current fee and booking terms are shown before payment in the appointment environment. If you have several ZD codes or a specialist referral, please check in advance whether one appointment is sufficient.
